Revolución de Cuba, Belfast’s only authentic Cuban bar and the first in Ireland, occupies a stunning Grade 3 listed former bank in the city centre. After investing heavily in its transformation, a critical fire alarm failure
during a peak period forced the venue to close, risking major business disruption.
DELIVERABLES
Specialised Fire & Security were contacted on a Friday afternoon, we confirmed the critical failure and the only option was to replace & upgrade the system, this was down to it being a closed protocol system, age and availability of equipment from incumbent supplier. We offered a solution that committed to delivering a new system & allowed them to continue operating. This process included agreed budget that afternoon, equipment needed for install to site that evening.
With the support of the client putting extra staff on fire watch duties, they continued to trade. Ten engineers were on site Saturday morning & by the Saturday evening they had an operating Manual Fire system… The Sunday we were all back on site and stated to change out all detection, interfaces, Visual beacons & audible sounders. This allowed for the start of the week to commission
and test delivering a new system as promised without disruption or need to stop trading. Since then we have continued to support Rev De Cuba for all Fire & Security needs, along with a range of associated trades for all facility needs.
